World No Tobacco Day is
this Friday 31 May. Tobacco use is the single most prevalent cause of death
globally and is currently responsible for killing 1 in 10 adults
worldwide. The theme for this year
is ban tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship as evidence shows that
comprehensive advertising bans lead to reductions in the numbers of people
starting and continuing smoking.
